Great Wall Motor (GWM) recently announced its global development strategy, revealing its long-term objective of exceeding one million units in overseas sales by 2030. The goal is to have high-end models account for more than one-third of this aim.

Several critical issues are being highlighted, including the localization of production capacity and operations, cross-cultural branding, and secure supply chains. Bright plans have been announced to raise investments in overseas markets to support expansion efforts. Under the unified GWM brand, the business wants to drive full-scale worldwide deployment in research, manufacturing, supply, sales, and services.

The release of the strategy implies that GWM's global footprint is entering a phase of high-quality development. Over a thousand foreign media outlets and business leaders attended the Auto China 2024 event in Beijing, which featured GWM. They went to GWM's battery arm, SVOLT, Xushui manufacturing base, and technical center. Test drives were also held for the flagship products of GWM's five major brands, WEY, TANK, HAVAL, ORA, and POER. This gave the representatives firsthand knowledge of GWM's technological prowess and manufacturing capabilities.

GWM has currently exported automobiles to over 170 countries and regions worldwide. It has built a massive network of over 1,000 sales channels and has more than 14 million users worldwide. Just in 2023, GWM achieved a tremendous feat: its yearly export volume surpassed 300,000 units, representing an 85% increase year over year. The overall thrust of the plan, as well as these KPIs, point to the company's strong global performance, which is expected to continue.
