Geely Galaxy Xingyao 8 Pre-Sales Open at RMB 139,800, Targets Premium Hybrid Sedan Market

Geely’s new energy sub-brand Galaxy launched pre-sales for the Xingyao 8 PHEV sedan, with five trims pricing between RMB 139,800 to 173,800 (USD 19,000–23,600*). The deliveries is planned to start in May 2025.  

Trims and Pricing

Targeting the mid-to-large PHEV segment, Xingyao 8 is distinguished for its exterior beauty, excellent fuel consumption rate, luxury cabin, and Geely’s latest intelligent technologies.

Design & Dimensions  

The Xingyao 8 measures 5,018mm long, 1,918mm wide, 1,480mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,928 mm long. The outlook of the car features traditional Chinese artistic motifs, mix with modern elements, including frameless windows, hidden door handles, and 19-inch alloy wheels.

Inside the car, the spacious cabin brings an ergonomic controls for the driver, and rear legroom for long-distance comfort for the passengers.  

Powertrain Options  

Three trims are equipped with Leishen EM-i Super Hybrid system, which adopt a 1.5L Engine, generating 46.5% thermal efficiency (world’s highest for hybrid engines). Also there is an E-DHT 11-in-1 Electric Drive for the three trims, which enables 3.36L/100km fuel consumption.

The other two trims are armed with the Leishen EM-P Performance Hybrid system, boosting 6.49s 0-100km/h acceleration, and support 3.67L/100km fuel economy (CLTC).

Chassis & Handling  

All trims have the following features for standard:

- Front enhanced MacPherson + rear five-link independent setup with FSD adaptive damping.

- AI cloud tuning

- Achieves 80 km/h moose test score (emergency evasion capability).

Intelligent Driving  

The advanced autonomous driving system on Xingyao 8 is called G-Pilot ADAS (Qianli Haohan in Chinese), again, standard on all trims. The system is powered with Lidar + dual ADAS chips of 116 TOPS, enabling the car:  

- Highway NOA

- 120 km/h emergency lane change

- 300+ scenario APA parking (narrow/dark/dead-end spaces)  

Smart Cockpit  

The smart cockpit is Galaxy Flyme Auto OS as other models under Galaxy brand. The Galaxy Flyme Auto OS is integrated with DeepSeek LLM, enabling the car to handle complex Q&A and reasoning. Besides, the voice control system can be wake-up less than 400ms, achieving a 93% recognition accuracy, full-vehicle command support.
