International Standards for Intelligent Connected Vehicles Successfully Launched

Multiple international standard proposals for intelligent connected vehicles, jointly developed by China, Germany, Japan, South Korea, the UK, and other countries, have been successfully approved by the International organization for Standardization (ISO). The approved standards include:


- Test methods for door-opening warning systems (ISO 25354)

- Test methods for rear traffic crossing alert systems (ISO 25355)

- Test methods for combined driving assistance systems (ISO PAS 11585-2)

- Natural language description methods for autonomous driving scenarios (ISO PAS 34507)


These standards focus on driving assistance and autonomous driving technologies, marking significant progress in the global harmonization of automotive safety and efficiency standards.

National Energy Administration: 98% Coverage of EV Chargers at National Highways

As of the end of 2024, China has achieved a 98% coverage rate of electric vehicle (EV) chargers at national highway service areas, according to Zhang Xing, Deputy Director of the General Office and spokesperson for the National Energy Administration. The total number of charging facilities in China reached 12.818 million units, a year-on-year increase of 49%. Accumulatively, a total of 35,000 chargers have been installed at highway service areas nationwide.
