Arrival of BYD Denza in Hong Kong: Flagship Store Opens with D9 MPV Sales
The opening of the flagship store of BYD Denza in HK was characterized by pomp on 24th June, and this informed the commencement of sales for D9 MPV RHD version in HK. Early this June, Autocango reported Denza’s newly launched D9 MPV’s intended price as HK$660,000 ($84,498) to HK$750,000 in the Hong Kong market.

As it appears, this store positioned within Kowloon Bay auto shopping zone, which is the largest in Hong Kon. The flagship store measures almost 2000 square meters and contains car-displaying area, V2L scenario display area, two VIP reception halls and an area for delivery.
A Promising Start for Denza
Zhao Changjiang, the GM of Denza’s Sales Division has revealed this on his Weibo account that Denza has received nearly 1000 orders so far. According to him, Toyota Alphard MPV is highly visible in HK, taking most of the MPV market share, but he says it will not be the case anymore when the D9 comes up from Denza.
According to data from CPCA, Denza sold 10,158 units in May only, and totally 42,804 units in Jan-May period this year, topping the best-selling MPVs in China mainland. How will Denza D9 perform in HK? Let’s wait and see.
