FAW Group's Hongqi Launches Tiangong 08 SUV
On January 7, FAW Group's prestigious Hongqi brand officially launched the Tiangong 08, an all-electric mid-to-large sized SUV. The new model is available in five trim levels, with prices ranging from 239,800 RMB to 339,800 RMB.
Distinctive Exterior Design
The Tiangong 08 stands out with Hongqi’s iconic split-headlight front fascia. It features hidden door handles, a red side-flag emblem with integrated side-view cameras, and a full-width taillight design with L-shaped elements. Buyers can choose between single-tone or dual-tone body colors, with wheel sizes ranging from 19 to 21 inches.
Luxurious Interior
Inside, the Tiangong 08 offers a five-seat layout adorned with high-quality materials such as leather upholstery and wood grain accents. The cabin adopts a brand-new design, supporting CarPlay and featuring a vibrant 256-color lighting system. The front-row seats come equipped with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, ensuring maximum comfort for passengers. The vehicle also boasts an integrated two-screen setup, including a 6-inch dashboard and a 15.5-inch central touchscreen.
Advanced Performance
The Tiangong 08 is available in two powertrain options: a 253 kW single-motor two-wheel drive and a dual-motor all-wheel drive with 202 kW front and 253 kW rear motors. The SUV can reach a top speed of 200 km/h. Additionally, it features a low-temperature battery pack capable of retaining 98% capacity at -10℃ and charging up to 80% in just 5 minutes.
Overseas Market Plans
The Tiangong 08 will soon be available in international markets under the name Hongqi EHS7. European pre-sales are set to begin with prices starting at 53,999 Euros. This move signifies Hongqi's ambition to expand its footprint in the global electric vehicle market.
With its luxurious features, advanced technology, and strong performance, the Tiangong 08 is poised to make a significant impact in the electric SUV segment. FAW Group's Hongqi brand continues to push the boundaries of innovation and design, delivering premium vehicles that cater to the evolving needs of modern consumers.
