Neta Auto Launches Neta X SUV in Malaysia and Thailand
China new start-up NEV carmaker Neta Auto officially launched Neta X SUV on both Malaysia and Thailand market on July 25th.
Neta Auto, a subsidiary of Chinese EV company Hozon Auto, has been performing well on Southeast Asia market, as it made great efforts on accelerating its globalization strategy.
Neta X SUV Specifications
Neta X SUV, launched last October, is a facelift variant of U-II. The car’s dimension is 4,619 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width and 1,628 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,770 mm.
According to Neta, the Neta X SUV is equipped with an advanced driver assistance system, an intelligent cockpit powered by multilingual voice assistant, and a 15.6-inch smart central screen, enhancing the driving and passenger experience.
The car also provides the users with a variety of online functions, such as navigation, music streaming, emote vehicle management via smartphone app, all upgradable via OTA upgrades.
Southeast Asia as a Key Market and Neta’s Expansion Timeline
Southeast Asia is a key market for Neta. According to a report from China Insights Consultancy, in 2023, Neta Auto ranked among the top three nev car brands in Southeast Asia based on insured volume. Let’s check out how Neta is expanding in Southeast Aisa.
November 2023: Neta Thai plant was put into production with an annual capacity of 20,000 units.
January 2024: Neta Malaysia plant started construction, and will complete in 2025;
March 2024: Neta Thai plant started mass production;
