China Sees a 16% YoY Rise in Passenger Car Sales in Early October
Data from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) indicates a robust performance in the passenger car market from October 1-20. Retail sales hit 1.264 million units, marking a 16% year-on-year increase and a 12% month-on-month growth. Year-to-date sales totaled 16.838 million units, reflecting a 3% increase compared to the same period last year.
BYD and OPPO Forge Strategic Partnership for Car-Phone Integration
On October 23, BYD and OPPO signed a strategic cooperation agreement aimed at advancing car and smartphone integration. The first collaborative product, "Hand-Car Interconnect," will debut on the Denza Z9 GT through an OTA update and will be operated via the OPPO Find X8 series smartphones.
Zeekr Anticipates Mass Delivery of Autonomous Vehicles with WAYMO in 2025
Zeekr CEO, An Conghui, announced on October 23 that Zeekr, in collaboration with WAYMO, will begin mass delivery of autonomous vehicles aimed at the ride-hailing market starting next year. Currently, a small batch of these vehicles has been shipped to the United States for road testing by WAYMO.
An Conghui emphasized that this partnership positions Zeekr and WAYMO as pioneers in the large-scale commercial application of autonomous driving technology.
Xpeng Motors Enters the UAE Market
Xpeng Motors announced its formal entry into the United Arab Emirates (UAE) market on October 23. In collaboration with Ali & Sons Holding LLC, Xpeng hosted a launch event in Dubai for its G6 and G9 models. The companies have established a sales network in the UAE, with plans to open a new store in Abu Dhabi next year.
Zeekr MIX Launched with Advanced Features and Competitive Pricing

On October 23, Zeekr officially launched the Zeekr MIX, offering two trims priced at 279,900 yuan and 299,900 yuan, respectively. The new electric vehicle is built on the latest SEA-M architecture and features an 800V high-voltage platform. It is equipped with a 310 kW silicon carbide motor and two battery options: a 76 kWh golden lithium iron phosphate battery for a 550 km range and a 102 kWh CATL Qilin NCM battery for a 702 km range, based on CLTC standards.
