Key Features and Flight Demonstration
At this prestigious event, XPENG AEROHT's founder, Zhao Deli, demonstrated the entire process of automatic separation and combination of the "Land Aircraft Carrier".
During the flight, the "Land Aircraft Carrier" showcased four primary flight maneuvers:
- Low-altitude linear acceleration
- Spiral ascent
- Uniform altitude descent
- Precision landing
It is worth mentioning that the entire flight was conducted automatically, highlighting the remarkable ability of XPENG AEROHT's automatic flying technology to control the aircraft under various conditions with high accuracy.
Revolutionary Automatic Separation and Combination System
XPENG AEROHT flying car’s revolutionary innovation will the globally leading automatic separation and combination system, which can be activated through a smartphone or smart key. Besides, without any manual intervention, the flying car can finish the transition from land mode to air mode within five minutes.
With a simple touch on a smartphone, Zhao Deli was able to release the air module from the ground module autonomously.
Furthermore, the ground module of the "Land Aircraft Carrier" is not merely a transportation module; it also serves as an energy storage and recharging platform. The smart innovation aims to solve three major challenges of traditional aircraft: mobility, storage, and energy supply.
Manufacturing Base and Production Plans
As Autocango reported in October, XPENG AEROHT’s flying car manufacturing base is under construction now. The base is projected to mass-produce the air module of "Land Aircraft Carrier".
The base will have an annual production capacity of 10,000 units and is scheduled to be completed by 2025 Q3. The company will manage to start mass production and commence delivery in 2026.
