Starting at 239,800 yuan, the Exeed Sterra ET Extended Range AWD version hits the market

On December 15th, the Exeed Sterra ET Extended Range AWD version was officially launched, with a total of three models released, guided prices ranging from 239,800 (approximately $32,900) to 289,800 (approximately $39,800) yuan. The new car is the first to carry a brand-new end-to-end high-level intelligent driving system - Falcon Intelligent Driving, equipped with 30 sensors including lidar, millimeter-wave radar, and high-definition cameras, and also uses dual NVIDIA DRIVE Orin chips with a computing power of 508 TOPS. In terms of power, the Exeed Sterra ET Extended Range AWD version is built on a 400-volt architecture, equipped with a 1.5T range extender with a maximum power of 156 horsepower, and comes with a Snow Leopard AWD system. The pure electric range under CLTC conditions is 240 kilometers, the comprehensive range is 1,500 kilometers, and the fuel consumption under WLTC conditions is 5.9 liters per 100 kilometers.

FAW Hongqi joins CATL's "Battery Swapping Alliance"

On December 14th, FAW Hongqi announced that FAW Hongqi Automobile Sales Co., Ltd., CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited), and Era Electric Service Technology Co., Ltd. have officially signed a framework agreement for a battery swapping project cooperation. The three parties will deeply collaborate in the field of battery swapping to jointly promote the innovative development of the new energy vehicle industry. According to the agreement, the three parties will fully integrate their technical expertise and market resources in the new energy field, covering core businesses such as market promotion, battery swapping services, and efficient operation of battery swapping for Hongqi brand's chocolate swapping models.

Xi'an BYD's annual production breaks one million for the first time, with a current daily output of 4,000 to 4,400 vehicles

On December 15th, according to the Xi'an High-Tech Zone Management Committee, as of December 13th, BYD Xi'an Industrial Park has achieved an annual production target of one million vehicles, marking the first time the annual output has exceeded one million. It is reported that the BYD Xi'an Automobile Factory, located in the Xi'an High-Tech Zone, is BYD's largest single automobile factory in the country. Currently, BYD Xi'an Factory has four final assembly lines in operation, with a daily output reaching 4,000 to 4,400 vehicles.

XPENG AEROHT: "First Flight Code" users are expected to "take flight" by 2026

On the afternoon of December 14th, XPENG AEROHT's "Land Aircraft Carrier" flying car successfully completed a test flight in the core business district of Lujiazui, Shanghai. Zhao Deli, founder and president of XPENG AEROHT, stated that the mass production factory for XPENG AEROHT's flying cars is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2025; the flying cars are expected to obtain the type certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China by the end of October 2025, and it is hoped that "First Flight Code" users will be able to "take flight" by 2026.
