On February 20th, Huawei’s HIMA (Harmony Intelligence Mobility Alliance) held a tech press conference for its Maextro S800 model, which is collaborated with JAC Group.
On the conference, Yu Chengdong, Executive Director of Huawei, introduced the six key advanced intelligent technologies applied on the Maextro S800.
Maextro S800, made its global debut on last year’s Guanghzou Auto Show, is created to be a combination of autonomous intelligence and extreme luxury.
Today we will mainly dive into its tech-savvy features. According to Yu, the Tuling Longxing platform, Huawei Xinghe Communication and the Angel Seat active safety system will make their debut on Maextro S800, and another three key technologies, including HarmonyOS ALPS Cockpit 2.0, Huawei Car Language System 2.0, and Huawei Giant Whale Battery 2.0 will be upgraded.
Armed with the six advanced systems, the Maextro S800 will make a leap from passive intelligence to autonomous intelligence.
Tuling Longxing Platform
The Tuling Longxing Platform is a new-generation automomous intelligent digital chassis. Its all-domain architecture deeply integrated ADS perception, cloud data, intelligent driving, and vehicle status information, allowing the car to percept actively, central control, reason intelligehtly, and learn autonomously. For example, the car features anti-slip stability control, ensuring no deviation or fishtailing on complex icy and snowy roads, nor loss speed or slipping during snow climbing.
Angel Seat Active Safety System
In order to provide a safe driving experience, the S800 applies the "Angel Seat" active safety protection system, which is built under L3 intelligent driving architecture utilizing more than 30 sensors, including 4 lidars, to enhance the vehicle's omnidirectional anti-collision capabilities
Huawei Xinghe Communication
The Huawei Xinghe communication enables the driver and passengers communicate through satellite network for basic communication functions like phone call or texting in the absence of WLAN and mobile data networks.
HarmonyOS ALPS Cockpit 2.0
The HarmonyOS ALPS Cockpit 2.0 is the industry's first autonomous intelligent purification cabin, for it can detect odors, purify the air, and eliminate unpleasant smells, through its dual-flow air circulation system and innovative adsorption and degradation materials.
Huawei Car Language System 2.0
The Huawei Car Language System 2.0 version integrates lighting, intelligent driving and Huawei’s NearLink technology, make the car-human interaction smarter. Besides, the car can communicate with people outside of the car, under scenarios, such as rescuing, intelligent driving intentions, and pedestrian courtesy.
Huawei Giant Whale Battery 2.0
The S800 will offer both pure electric and extended-range versions. The EREV version utilize an 800V high-voltage extended-range 6C battery pack (65kWh), enabling the car to gain 10%-80% range in only 10.5 minutes. In terms of the pure electric version, the car will be equipped with a 5C pure electric battery pack (97kWh), enabling the car to gain 10%-80% range in 12 minutes.
Here’s a summary of the Maextro S800 tech conference. The model opened blind pre-order on November 28th, 2024, with prices anticipated to be between 1 million to 1.5 million. Within 48 hours, the car received 2108 orders. Yu announced that the car will hit the market by the end of May on this year’s Shenzhen Auto Show.
