BYD Debuts First K-Car Model "Racco" for Japanese Market  


At the 2025 Tokyo Motor Show on October 29, BYD officially unveiled its first K-car model, the Racco. This pure electric vehicle represents BYD's dedicated development for the Japanese market, with pre-sales scheduled to commence in Japan during summer 2026.



China's First Automotive Chip Standard Verification Platform Begins Operation  


China's inaugural national-level automotive chip standard verification and pilot platform commenced operations in Shenzhen on October 28, marking a significant advancement in the country's automotive-grade chip quality assessment capabilities. The facility comprises 13 specialized laboratories including environmental and reliability testing, failure analysis, information security, and performance evaluation. Equipped with over 80 sets of testing apparatus, the platform possesses verification capacity for more than 30 automotive chip standards, strengthening China's semiconductor infrastructure for the automotive industry.



Chinese Auto Brands Double UK Market Share in Q3 2025 Year-on-Year


Data from Schmidt Automotive Research reveals that Chinese-branded vehicles accounted for 11.8% of all new car registrations in the UK during the third quarter of 2025, more than double the figure from the same period last year and representing a 2.7-percentage-point increase from the previous quarter. MG maintained its position as the most popular Chinese automotive brand in the market, while both Chery and BYD are gaining traction rapidly.
