BYD Launches e-Platform 3.0 Evo & Sea Lion 07 EV

BYD, the Chinese NEV (New Energy Vehicle) manufacturer, has announced the e-Platform 3.0 Evo, their most recent groundbreaking release. This breakthrough paradigm shift in their battery electric vehicle (BEV) model platform significantly improves powertrain performance and charger integration. Concurrently, the Sea Lion 07 EV, the first model based on the new e-Platform, was introduced.

The vehicle has already left the assembly line, and deliveries are scheduled to begin in the coming weeks.

The Sea Lion vehicle series represents BYD's Ocean-array SUV model line. The debut model, Sea Lion 07 EV, embodies the main design philosophy, Ocean X idea. This model has amazing dimensions and comes in a variety of configurations, with starting prices ranging from RMB 189,800 to RMB 239,800.

Delivering power and efficiency all at once

The Sea Lion 07 EV's entry-level model excels with an electric motor capable of producing 170 kW and 380 Nm of peak torque. This strong combination accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds. With a 71.8-kWh lithium iron phosphate-based blade battery, it has a CLTC range of 550 kilometers.
