BYD's Yuan UP Debuts in Ecuador

BYD is accelerating expansion in the South American market, in the countries like Ecuador, Brazil, and Chile. Currently, BYD brought its Yuan UP into Ecuador, marking the seventh model launched in the local auto market. At the Automundo Auto Show held in Quito, BYD displayed all seven of its line-up attracting local consumers.

Yuan UP: A Powerhouse of Innovation Providing Tech-Driven Experience

The Yuan UP, locally called the BYD Yuan Pro, is known as a powerhouse:

👉The car is equipped with BYD’s latest Blade Battery technology

👉The car boosts 174 horsepower, 290 Nm of torque, and a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 7.9 seconds.

👉The car is built on BYD's e-Platform 3.0, known for its excellent integration, power density, and efficiency.

Inside the cabin, the Yuan UP also impressed the local consumers. The smart cabin system supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, providing convenience for users. The car features an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.8-inch adaptive rotating floating pad, all enhancing the driving experience.

BYD's Market Expansion in Ecuador

In May last year, BYD cooperated with Andor Corporation to offer its advanced electric cars and services into Ecuador’s auto market. Since then, BYD has brought HAN EV, Yuan Plus EV, Dolphin EV, Tang EV, Yuan PLUS, and Song PLUS DM-i into the country, covering both SUV and sedans. And now, BYD has introduced its seventh model, the Yuan UP.
