Changan Auto's 2024 Brand Event in Riyadh Unveils New Models and Regional Expansion Plans
Changan Auto, China’s domestic first-tier automaker, held its much-anticipated 2024 Changan Middle East and Africa Brand Event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on August 30th. On the event, Changan Auto showcased its three major brands, introduced its products plans, as well as a comprehensive upgrade to localized operations and services in Middle East and Africa region.
On the event, Changan unveiled its three major brands: Avatr, Deepal, as well as Changan, launched the UNI-S, and showcased several highly anticipated new energy products including Changan Qiyuan E07, Deepal S07, Deepal G318, Avatr 11, and Avatr 12. All of these new energy models features excellent performance, the most advanced intelligent technology and environmental protection concepts, meeting the needs and expectations of the consumers in the Middle East and Africa market.
Major Brand Unveiling
Changan Auto will gradually introduce 10 models in the Middle East and Africa region, including the UNI-S, the new UNI-V 2.0T and etc. In the future, Changan will also bring Deepal and Avatr series.
Otherwise, it is reported that, the Deepal have signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the UAE automotive distribution group AL TAYER MOTORS on September 2nd. According to the agreement, the two parties will work closely on introducing Deepal’s products in the Middle East countries.
Customer Service Enhancements
In terms of upgrading services, Changan will work on three things to improve its customer services: 1) introduces its customer service brand withU to every consumers in the Middle East; 2) works closely with local dealer partners to establish spare parts centers and technical service support centers in the Middle East to increase user response speed by 50%; 3) builds a professional team of maintenance to provide full-service automotive care; 4) accelerates localized operations by establishing a Middle East subsidiary to explore diversified cooperation such as joint ventures, financial services, and logistics distribution.
Historical Presence and Market Performance
Changan entered the Middle East and Africa region in 1994, and with a 30-year efforts, Changan has become the trusted partner for the local market. It is worth mentioning that among Chinese brands in the Saudi market, Changan has ranked first in sales in recently years. Otherwise the cumulative sales of Cangan, in the Middle East and Africa, have exceeded 400,000 vehicles. The latest market data in the first seven months of 2024, showed a strong overseas sales for Changan reaching 228,000 vehicles, marking a year-on-year increase of 67.6%.
