On January 8, China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the Ministry of Finance issued a notice on the implementation of large-scale equipment upgrades and consumer goods trade-in policies for 2025. The notice includes improvements to the automobile trade-in subsidy standards, aiming to stimulate the domestic auto market. Under the new policy, individual consumers who transfer their registered passenger vehiclesand purchase new passenger cars will be eligible for trade-in subsidies. The subsidy for purchasing new energy vehicles (NEVs) will be up to 15,000 yuan per vehicle, while the subsidy for purchasing gasoline-powered vehicles will be capped at 13,000 yuan per vehicle.
