National Passenger Car Prices Fall to ¥168,000 in October

According to data from the China Passenger Car Association, the average price of passenger vehicles in China saw a significant decrease in October 2024, falling to ¥168,000 per vehicle. This represents a downward trend from the average price of ¥186,000 recorded in the first half of 2024. The decrease is attributed to the national policies promoting vehicle scrapping, renewal, and subsidies for trading in old cars for new ones, which have boosted sales of entry-level models.

Xiaomi SU7 Achieves 100,000 Units Milestone

Xiaomi Automotive announced that the 100,000th unit of its SU7 model rolled off the production line, setting a record for the fastest automotive production milestone by a new car manufacturer. This milestone was reached in just 230 days, highlighting Xiaomi's rapid growth and efficiency in the competitive automotive sector. Additionally, Xiaomi is set to unveil its pre-research technology for intelligent chassis today, further underlining its commitment to innovation and technological advancement in the automotive industry.

BYD to Launch Passenger Car Brand in South Korea by Early 2025

BYD is making significant inroads into the South Korean automobile market. According to Yonhap News Agency on November 13, BYD Korea announced the completion of their market evaluation and plans to launch a passenger car brand by early 2025. Preparations are already underway, including establishing sales and service networks, recruiting personnel, certifying vehicles, planning marketing strategies, and providing employee training.

Changan Automobile's Groundbreaking Solid-State Lithium Battery Technology

On November 13, Changan Automobile, during an investor meeting with Northeast Securities, highlighted the company's technological advancements in electric vehicle (EV) architecture and battery technology. Changan, in collaboration with TAILAN New Energy, introduced a diaphragmless solid-state lithium battery technology.

The company detailed the capabilities of its SDA architecture, which includes:

- Mechanical Layer: Features Changan’s Tianheng intelligent chassis and distributed electric drive systems.

- Energy Layer: Boasts over 400 breakthroughs in core three-electric technology.

- Electronic Electrical Architecture Layer: Includes a super-brain central computing platform and Ethernet communication.

- Operating System Layer: Self-developed full-stack operating system.

- Complete Vehicle Intelligent Application Layer: Featuring the SDA Tianshu architecture and Tianshu large model.

- Cloud Big Data Layer: Supporting overall vehicle intelligence and connectivity.

The innovative Blue Whale 3.0 intelligent system has reduced the comprehensive cost of vehicle use to only ¥0.22 per kilometer for medium and short trips of around 200 kilometers. This is achieved through three core modules: a hybrid-specific engine, intelligent electric drive, and a range extender module, forming an extremely efficient and economical automotive solution.
