CPCA: Preliminary Statistics Show September Passenger Car Market Retail Sales of 2.063 Million Units, a Year-on-Year Increase of 2%
On October 10th, the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) preliminarily calculated that from September 1st to 30th, the passenger car market retail sales reached 2.063 million units, a year-on-year increase of 2%, and a month-on-month increase of 8%. The cumulative retail sales for the first nine months have reached 15.529 million units, a year-on-year increase of 2%. From September 1st to 30th, the new energy vehicle market retail sales reached 1.12 million units, a year-on-year increase of 51%, and a month-on-month increase of 9%.

On October 10th, SAIC Motor and Dongfeng Group released sales data for September, showing a decline to varying degrees. SAIC Motor sold 313,300 new vehicles in September, a year-on-year decrease of 35.03%. The cumulative sales from January to September were 2.6493 million vehicles, a year-on-year decrease of 21.56%. On October 10th, the Xpeng P7+ was officially unveiled, positioned as China's first AI car, expected to hit the market in the fourth quarter of this year.
