Launch of the GAC Aion Hyper GT Worldwide
On June 6th, GAC Aion debuted the Hyper GT Global Model. Prospective customers should anticipate a price range of ¥203,900 – ¥259,900 ($28,100 – $35,900 USD), with three distinct trims available. With a range of up to 710 km and an industry-leading 800V platform, the car is also among the first to use a mapless autonomous driving system, giving it advantages over several competitors.
Features and Design of the Hyper GT
The Hyper GT has a sleek low-lying fastback profile and 19-inch star-shaped rims that give its distinctive look a contemporary edge. Built on GAC's all-electric AEP 3.0 platform, the car has a wheelbase of 2920mm with dimensions of 4886mm, 1917mm, and 1449mm in length, width, and height, respectively. The automobile is notable for having a low drag coefficient of 0.1975Cd and a 5.3m turning radius, which facilitates easier maneuverability.
Aspects of Advanced Technology
Aside from the company's own Hyper Pilot advanced driving assistance system, the vehicle is outfitted with 34 sensors, including six millimeter-wave radars, 13 cameras, and three lidars.
Interior Design and Execution
The Hyper GT's internal components include a 14.6-inch 2.5K touch screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155P CPU and an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument panel. The car's power comes from a rear electric motor that produces 250 kW of power and 430 Nm of peak torque, which goes beyond its technological and aesthetically pleasing features. The vehicle, equipped with an 80 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, can reach 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and, thanks to its 800V platform, can be fully recharged in 15 minutes, giving it a 450 km range.
