Geely launched the Go Kart Edition of the Panda Mini EV on April 9th, adding an exciting new twist to the model. The new version, like its name, captures the essence of go-kart design, aimed at a younger demographic of consumers.

The Geely Panda series has been a great success since its market launch, with over 130,000 units sold to date, including popular models such as the Little Yellow Duck Limited Edition, Panda Knight and Dragon Edition. Geely preserves the Go Kart Edition's pricing in line with the Panda series' current rates, which range between 29,900 and 56,900 yuan ($4,100 - $8,200).

The Go Kart Edition retains the Panda Mini's square shape while adding a splash of bright sportiness with a four-seater layout and a black-and-purple paint scheme, which is further enhanced by purple and white contrasting wheel rims. Buyers have the option of selecting various exterior colors, including white and gray. The small EV measures 3150/1540/1685 mm in length, with a 2015 mm wheelbase, and features a distinctive top tail wing at the back, reminiscent of its go-kart inspiration.

The electric car is powered by a 30 kW rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor producing 110 Nm of torque. The automobile has two drive modes: standard and sport. Although the actual battery parameters are yet to be revealed, the automobile has DC rapid charging capabilities, which can charge the battery from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes. Another way to refill power is by gradual AC charging.

Inside the cockpit, the Go Kart Edition retains its competitive edge with an 8-inch central control screen, 9.2-inch LCD instrument panel, D-shaped steering wheel, and smartphone compatibility for remote lock, unlock, and climate control.
