Huawei & SAIC Group Launch "SAIC" EV Brand with RMB 6B Initial Investment

April 16 — Huawei and SAIC Group officially unveiled their joint SAIC brand (尚界 in Chinese), backed by a RMB 6 billion (USD 821 million*) investment and a R&D team of 5000. The first model debuts this fall, said Huawei's Richard Yu.  



VOYAH to Debut "Mount Tai" L3 Autonomous System in 2025

April 16 — VOYAH CEO Lu Fang announced its L3 "Mount Tai" project will premiere on a full-size 6-seat SUV this year. The L3 Autonomous System will be rooled out on all vehicles within 2-3 years.  



Gotion High-Tech Unveils Solid-State "Golden Stone Battery" for 2027 Pilot

April 16 — Gotion stated on an interactive platform that it has developed a vehicle-grade all-solid-state battery, with small-scale production and testing slated for 2027.

BYD FangChengBao Tai3 Launches at RMB 133,800 with Drone Option

April 16 — BYD's off-road sub-brand FangChengBao officially launched the Tai3 compact SUV from RMB 133,800 (USD 18,300*), 6,000 lower than the pre-sale price. The Tai3 features God’s Eye C ADAS, CTB battery-integrated chassis, and offers an optional in-car drone system.
