Starting at €94,900, the NIO EL8 is Launched in Five European Countries

NIO extends its European lineup with the introduction of the sixth model, the EL8. Launched officially in five European countries, the car's design and configuration sing in unison with the domestic ES8. NIO EL8 Enters Europe: Echo of Domestic ES8 Abroad

According to NIO, EL8 (known as ES8 domestically) has been officially launched in Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark as the sixth NIO’s model on European market.  

For example, if we consider the German market price then the purchase price for NIO EL8 would be €94,900 (about RMB 737,000) for 75 kWh version, and €103,900 (approximately RMB 806,800) for 100 kWh version.

Athletic Performance Inside a Luxurious Design

The NIO EL8 launched in five European countries maintains consistency with the domestically sold ES8 in design and configuration. The vehicle has a length, width and height of 5099/1989/1750 millimeters with a wheelbase of 3070 millimeters. The car has concealed door handles, a Tachymeter-style LIDAR along with multiple HD cameras hidden from view.

NIO EL8 comes with a twin-motor AWD system producing 480 kW combined power and 850 N•m peak torque. It is also equipped with dual chamber air suspension, CDC dynamic damping control system as well as Bosch IPB intelligent line control braking system. The NIO EL8 75 kWh version offers a WLTP range of 390 kilometers, while the 100 kWh version reaches 510 kilometers.

Seal of Progress: NIO's Journey So Far

As early as 2021, NIO had already introduced ET7, EL7 (ES7), ET5, ET5T, and EL6 (ES6) models into the European market.

Based on public source data, in 2023 NIO sold 2399 units in Europe. Currently, there are NIO Houses / Spaces, and nearly 60 NIO Service Centers that have been opened throughout Europe.

It operates 43 battery swap stations; 46 charging stations in Europe besides access to over 600,000 third-party chargers.
