Introduction to ONVO L60

ONVO, NIO’s more mass market-oriented brand launched an event to introduce the detailed specs of the L60. The car is build to target the family market, benchmarking against the top-selling SUV Tesla Model Y.

ONVO L60 is available in two trims, offering an additional BaaS (battery as a service) purchase option.

Competitive Edge Over Tesla Model Y

ONVO L60 not only out-compete Model Y on price, but also specifications and performance:

👉ONVO L60 is larger than the Model Y, with a length, width and height of 4,750 mm, 1,921 mm, 1,624 mm and a wheelbase of 2,890 mm, providing a larger interior space.

👉ONVO L60 has a lower drag coefficient at Cd 0.229, compared to Model Y’s Cd 0.236.

👉ONVO L60 single-motor version achieves as low as 12.1 kWh/100 km energy consumption, and dual-motor version 12.7 kWh/100 km, surpassing Model Y.

👉ONVO L60 offers two ways of energy replenishment: fast-charging and battery swapping.

Infrastructure and Service Expansion

ONVO‘s President Ai tiecheng mentioned that the company has already own 304 battery swap stations, and by the end of 2024, the number will increase to 1000. Besides, ONVO is planning to establish over 200 stores and 350 service centers in 120 cities nationwide.

ONVO L60 Launch: Intelligent Features and Delivery Plans

The intelligent functions of the ONVO L60 is impressive as well.

In terms of intelligent driving hardware, the car provides a pure visual intelligent driving solution, by adopting 30 high-performance perception hardware, including:

👉1 4D imaging millimeter-wave radar, with the longest detection range of 370 meters;

👉7 high-definition cameras with 8 million pixels, with the longest forward detection range of 687 meters;

👉4 starlight 360-degree cameras that can still see clearly at a low illumination of 12 lux.

Strong Market Response

According to the company, the intelligent driving assistant system is ready to use once upon delivery, providing a full-scenario NOA navigation assistance and the smart parking system.

William Li, NIO Chairman and CEO, told the media that the company will not disclose the sales figures, but after the launch, the company is receiving large number of orders, increasing by 5 times.

Delivery Timeline
