Chinese Automakers Lead the Charge at 2024 Paris Motor Show
On October 14, 2024, the 2024 Paris Motor Show officially kicked off. On this year’s Paris Motor Show, a significaant change is that the exhibitor numbers increased, especially the number of Chinese car manufacturers, having surpassed last year's Munich Motor Show.
BYD, Hongqi, GAC Group, SAIC Maxus, Dongfeng Fengxing, AITO, XPeng, Leapmotor, and Skyworth are at the event showcasing their latest innovation, with highlights of new energy technology and intelligent driving technologies.
BYD Sealion 07
Chinese auto giant BYD showcased its Sealion 07 coupe SUV for the European market. This model was launched in China in May this year, with highlights including the advanced version of the intelligent cockpit DiLink 100, and the advanced intelligent driving OTA, covering six core functions, such as automatic on and off ramps, autonomous lane changing/overtaking, and active obstacle avoidance.
Hongqi EH7 and EHS7
Hongqi debuts its EH7 sedan and the EHS7 SUV onsite. The two pure electric models are both built on "TianGong" Electric Platform, delivering a blend of top-tier luxury and extreme comfort, showcasing Hongqi’s cutting-edge engineering.
Aion V
GAC Group brings several models to the Paris Motor Show, including GAC Trumpchi ES9, E9 PHEV models, and four pure electric models from GAC Aion, namely the second-generation AION V, AION Y PLUS, HYPTEC SSR, and HYPTEC HT. Among them, GAC Aion's first global strategic model, the second-generation Aion V drew much attention. The car features a higher starting range of 520km, and offers urban map-less NDA and LiDAR, which is the first model in athe 200,000 yuan segment in the Chinese market.
AITO 9
At this Paris Auto Show, the AITO brand brings the AITO M5, M7, and M9 models, and names the three cars "AITO 5", "AITO 7", and "AITO 9" overseas. On September 10 this year, the AITO M9 large five-seat version was officially launched, bringing six major intelligent upgrades covering lighting, space, car control, active safety, assistant driving and parking assistance. In addition, the car features the upgraded ADS 3.0 system bringing users a high-level intelligent driving experience.
Leapmotor B10
Leapmotor's first global model from the B platform, the Leapmotor B10, made its official debut. The Leapmotor B10 is equipped with an 8295 chip intelligent cockpit, with voice assistants connected to cloud-based large models, creating a a smarter, more human-like cockpit experience. The B10 offers a lidar + 8650 chip intelligent driving solution, capable of achieving high-speed and urban automatic navigation assistance.
Xpeng P7+
Xpeng P7+, claimed to be the world’s first AI car, started pre-sale at Paris Motor Show with a starting price of 209,000 yuan. The P7+ adopts AI technology throughout its manufacturing process. All trims of Xpeng P7+ come standard with the new generation AI Eagle Eye Vision Solution, reaching the highest level of intelligent driving among Xpeng's vehicles. Integrated with the AI Tianji XOS 5.4.0, the P7+ can offer AI driving assistant on all road conditions across the country, and can be activated at standstill with zero speed.
