Design and Dimensions

Different from other replacement models, the second-generation Aion V made great changes comparing to the old version. The appearance adopts a new design, looks like a dragon ready to fly. Market Expectations and Competition

The old version of Aion V was launched in June of 2020, but the sales performance was less than satisfactory. Data from the China Passenger Car Association shows that, in this June, AION V sold 1,680 units, comprising only 5.22% of GAC Aion's total sales, ranking 112th in China SUV sales. So the second-generation Aion V is looked upon with high expectations.

Xiao Yong, the Vice GM of Aion, told the media that the sales target for this brand new Aion V is to take the first or the second position in the all-electric vehicle price range of 130,000 to 190,000 yuan. Thus the car is facing the fiercest competition. The rivals are BYD Yuan, BYD Qin, BYD Song, BYD Dolphin, BYD Sealion 07, VW ID.3, ICAR03, Changan QiyuanA07, Leapmotor C10&C11, as well as Galaxy E5, which will be officially launched on August 3rd globally.
