Zhengzhou Nissan Z9 Pickup Opens Pre-Sales from RMB 119,900, GTS Trim to Hit RMB 250k


April 2 — Zhengzhou Nissan launched pre-sales for its Z9 pickup, offering base Z9 and sporty Z9 GT trims priced at RMB 119,900–181,900 (USD 16,500–25,000*), with a rugged Z9 GTS variant targeting off-road enthusiasts at ~RMB 250,000 (USD 34,400*). The brand also unveiled its global "Stellar Core" modular platform and PHEV "Omni-Scenario Hybrid" tech, pledging 9 new models in two years, including a P20 PHEV pickup (debuting at April’s Shanghai Auto Show) and NEV hard-core SUV/CDV exports in 2026.  



CPCA Predicts: March NEV Wholesale Sales Hit 1.14M Units, Up 37% YoY  


April 2 — China’s March new energy passenger vehicles wholesale volume surged to 1.14 million units (+37% YoY, +37% MoM), per the preliminary estimation of China Passenger Car Association (CPCA). Q1 2025 cumulative wholesales might reach 2.86 million units (+43% YoY).



BYD Secures 1,210-Acre Land Plot in Xi’an for RMB 375M

April 2 — BYD’s subsidiary Xixian New Area BYD Industrial Co., Ltd. acquired an 806,976 sqm (1,210-acre) plot in Xi’an’s Qinhan New District for RMB 375 million (USD 51.6 million*), including former Baoneng Automotive facilities. This follows a January 17 land purchase (RMB 398 million) in the same zone, signaling aggressive capacity expansion.
