Chinese NEV Startups See Record-Breaking November Deliveries
Chinese NEV startups experienced a record-breaking month in November, with total deliveries surpassing 40,000 units. Li Auto led the charge, while Aion, Leapmotor, and others also saw significant increases.

The Chinese NEV market witnessed an extraordinary surge n November, with leading NEV startups surpassing incredible millstones in the monthly NEV deliveries. According to Cui Dongshu, the secretary-general of China Passenger Car Association, Chinese NEVs took 68.9% of the global NEV marker share.
The companies, such as Li Auto, GAC backed Aion, and Leapmotor saw a total sales surpassing 40,000 units. Furthermore, Seres, Deepal, Xpeng sold over 30,000 units.
Li Auto: 48,740 units
Li Auto secured the top position with a total delivery of 48,740 units in November. This figure represents an 18.8% year-on-year increase. Accumulatively, Li Auto has delivered 441,995 units from January to November. While compared to 2024 annual sales target of 600,000 units, there is still a big gap.
Aion: 42,301 units
Aion caught up after low sales for previous quarters. In November, Aion reported sales of over 40,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 2%.
Leapmotor: 40,169 units
Leapmotor set a record high again. November saw a sales over 40,000 units for the first time. With 40,169 units delivered, a staggering 117% year-on-year increase, Leapmotor has already met its annual target of 250,000 units. The company announced its 2025 target of 500,000 units, doubled its 2024 target.
Seres: 36,842 units
Seres delivered 36,842 units in November with a 54.6% increase year-on-year. By the end of November, Seres sold 390,000 units, half way towards its 2024 goal of 600,000 units.
Deepal: 36,026 units
Deepal, backed by Changan, delivered 36,026 units in November, with a year-on-year rise of 123%, and a month-on-month increase of 29%. The Deepal S05 and S07 are the growth engine. Also, Deepal has set an ambitious 2025 global annual sales target of 500,000 units, with 100,000 units for overseas sales.
Xpeng: 30,895 units
Xpeng has set a new high for its monthly delivery for three consecutive months. From January to November, Xpeng achieved a total of 153,400 units delivered. Among them, its sub-brand’s Mona M03 has delivered over 100,000 units for three consecutive months as well, serving as the growth engine. By the way, its annual sales target is 280,000 units. It’s hard for them to achieve that goal in a month’s time.
Other Notable Performances
Zeekr delivered 27,011 units in November, a 106% increase year-on-year, setting a new monthly delivery for three consecutive months.
NIO delivered 20,575 units, marking an increase of 34.4%, maintaining a sales figure above 20,000 units for the seventh month. Its sub-brand ONVO sold 5,082 units in November, and the company is optimistic of 10,000 units of ONVO delivered in December.
Xiaomi has reached its annual delivery target of 100,000 units by November 18th, and at the same time, the company set a new 2024 annual target of 130,000 units. If the company secure the recent sales performance, it will not be a hard thing.
