According to the sales data released by BYD official, the company sold 4.272 million vehicles in 2024, making it the sales champion in Chinese auto market, the brand sales champion in China, as well as the global sales champion of NEVs.
In 2024, BYD’s Dynasty and Ocean families contributes the most of the sales, reaching 4 million units, in which the Dynasty family delivered over 2 million units, and the Ocean family 1.95 million units.
When looking into the specific average vehicle price, we can see that BYD has firmly captured the market segment below 200,000 yuan in China. BYD has popular models across various price ranges throughout the 100,000 (approximately $13,600) to 200,000 yuan (approximately $27,300).
BYD 2025 Strategy
It is reported that, BYD will focus on intelligentization in 2025. BYD. The main strategy would be to offer high-speed NOA on models in 100,000-150,000 yuan segment, and to equipped urban NOA on models in 200,000 yuan segment. This move will definitely cause intense competition.
