GAC AION ventures into Nepal.

GAC AION, a Chinese automaker, marked the grand opening of its first showroom in Kathmandu on May 23rd, marking its official entry into Nepal's market.

Launch of AION Y in Nepal

The ceremony marked the highly anticipated premiere of the AION Y model in Nepal. This hybrid masterpiece, which bridges the gap between an MPV's spacious interiors and an SUV's rugged off-road capabilities, provides Nepalese consumers with an all-encompassing vehicle.

GAC AION has announced plans to debut more unique models in Nepal this year, pointing to more exciting advancements on the horizon.

AION’s Global Ambition

Building on past successful market openings in Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, and Malaysia, AION has now successfully entered the South Asian market, expanding its global reach.

The implementation of innovative energy ecosystems, such as photovoltaic storage and charging solutions, is a critical component of AION's Nepal incursion. In doing so, the organization makes a significant contribution to improving local charging infrastructure and increasing the use of new energy cars.

Since 2023, GAC AION has expanded its international operations. The company recently opened its first brand flagship shop in Myanmar and displayed its vehicles at the Malaysia Auto Show, marking key milestones in its worldwide expansion path.

To the Future and Beyond

As part of its future vision, GAC AION plans to accelerate its worldwide strategy by collaborating with partners to develop parallel and downstream industry channels and energy ecosystems.

The "Thailand + Indonesia" dual-factories are slated to start production this year, strengthening AION's footprint in Southeast Asia and increasing its reach to the worldwide market.

AION plans to create large production and sales hubs in Europe, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and East Asia, as part of a fully integrated worldwide "R&D, production, and sales" strategy. AION remains committed to leading the way in international expansion, offering people worldwide useful intelligent travel lifestyles.
