GAC International Brazil Office Officially Begins Operations
On December 6th, GAC International announced that the GAC International Brazil Office was officially inaugurated on December 4th, marking the completion of the preliminary establishment and formal landing of localized operations in Brazil. The GAC International Brazil Office is located in São Paulo, the largest city in Brazil. On the day of the opening event, GAC International General Manager Wei Haigang held discussions with the local team and dealers in Brazil, focusing on core issues such as localized operations in the Brazilian market and future vehicle introduction plans.
Xiaomi's Third Car Model to Feature Range-Extended Power
Industry news suggests that Xiaomi is preparing for its third car model. This model is clearly aimed at the mass market with an estimated starting price of around 150,000 yuan (approximately $20,600). The third Xiaomi car will be an SUV that features range-extended power, with the internal codename "Kunlun," and is expected to be officially launched and sold in 2026. Xiaomi may choose Wuhan Dongfeng Motor as its manufacturing partner, or it may produce this car by acquiring and upgrading an existing Dongfeng factory.
Foton Motor: New Energy Vehicle Sales Up 35.35% Year-on-Year from January to November
On December 8th, Foton Motor released a quick report on production and sales data, with new energy vehicle sales reaching 7,293 units in November 2024, compared to 4,500 units in the same period last year. From January to November, new energy vehicle sales totaled 48,705 units, a year-on-year increase of 35.35%.
Tesla Investor Meeting: New Model to Be Launched in the First Half of 2025
Recently, Deutsche Bank hosted an investor meeting with Tesla's Head of Investor Relations, Travis Axelrod. Tesla stated that it plans to launch a new model named "Model Q" in the first half of next year, with a price below $30,000 after subsidies. Additionally, in the second half of 2025, Tesla plans to introduce other new models to expand its potential market size, one of which may be a three-row long-wheelbase Model Y launched in China.
