Geely Holding's Li Donghui: Targeting Over 5 Million Vehicle Sales by 2027

On January 5th, Li Donghui, CEO of Geely Holding Group, stated that the company's total vehicle sales for 2024 are expected to reach approximately 3.32 million units, a 21% year-on-year increase. New energy vehicle sales are projected to exceed 1.48 million units, with a penetration rate of about 45%. By 2027, Geely Holding aims to surpass 5 million vehicle sales, positioning itself as a leader in the electric and intelligent transformation and high-quality development, and initially forming a differentiated green and intelligent mobility ecosystem competitiveness.

SAIC-GM Wuling Becomes First Chinese Brand Automaker to Reach 30 Million Cumulative Production and Sales

On January 5th, SAIC-GM Wuling officially rolled out its 30 millionth vehicle, the Wuling Starlight S, making it the first Chinese brand automaker to achieve a cumulative production and sales volume of 30 million units.

Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Sets New Records in Passenger and Vehicle Traffic in 2024

According to the Zhuhai Border Inspection Station at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, both passenger and vehicle traffic through the Zhuhai road port exceeded 27 million and 5.55 million times respectively in 2024, marking a year-on-year increase of 72% and 71%, and setting new historical highs.

Cerence Expands Cooperation with NVIDIA

Cerence recently announced an expansion of its partnership with NVIDIA to enhance the capabilities of its CaLLM™ series of language models, including the cloud-based Cerence Automotive Large Language Model (CaLLM) and the CaLLM Edge embedded small language model. Through this collaboration, CaLLM is supported by the end-to-end cloud-native software platform NVIDIA AI Enterprise, while certain aspects of CaLLM Edge are supported by NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin.
