Horizon Robotics' Horizon JourneyTM 6 Secures BYD Partnership
On November 5th, it was revealed that Horizon Robotics' Horizon JourneyTM 6 has secured a platform designation from BYD. Expected to be integrated into several BYD models by 2025, the Horizon JourneyTM 6 will bring advanced autonomous driving functions to mid-to-high-end vehicles. Horizon Robotics' intelligent driving solutions have already been incorporated into popular BYD models such as Song L, Song Pro DM-i, Qin L, and Seal 06.
BYD Accelerates Smart Driving Technology Integration
Media reports from November 5th indicate that BYD is accelerating its efforts to advance self-developed intelligent driving technology. The goal is to make basic intelligent driving functions standard across all entry-level models. BYD is reallocating resources across the group to reinforce its autonomous driving departments, emphasizing the company’s commitment to technological advancement. Furthermore, BYD aims to introduce high-level autonomous driving (highway NOA-level) functions to vehicles costing around 100,000 yuan by next year. The rollout will start with models under the Denza and Yangwang brands, equipped with the Dipilot 100 (God’s Eye) Intelligent Driving System.
DEEPROUTE.AI Secures $100 Million in C1 Round Financing
On November 5th, autonomous driving technology company DEEPROUTE.AI announced the completion of a $100 million C1 round of strategic financing, led exclusively by a leading domestic OEM. The funds will be used to bolster domestic mass production projects, expand overseas business, and push forward the commercialization of Robotaxi operations and VLA model development. DEEPROUTE.AI has completed six rounds of financing, amassing over $500 million. Prominent investors include Fosun RZ Capital, Yunqi Partners, Alibaba, Glory Ventures, and Dongfeng Asset Management.
Seventh CIIE Opens with Flying Cars Taking the Spotlight
On November 5th, the seventh China International Import Expo (CIIE) officially commenced, showcasing groundbreaking innovations in the automotive sector. The event, a significant platform for international trade and investment, focused on future industries such as autonomous driving, low-altitude economy, and new energy storage (automotive). Many "China First" and "Asia First" products were unveiled, attracting considerable attention from global audiences.
Focus on Flying Cars
Flying cars were a notable highlight, capturing a significant portion of the automotive exhibition space. Renowned companies like Volant, TCab Tech, and VERTAXI showcased their latest models. Among them, TCab Tech debuted the E20 eVTOL, a 1:1 scale model of their new tiltrotor aircraft cabin. Additionally, TCab Tech announced a strategic partnership with a Middle Eastern entity to explore market opportunities in the region.
