Jetour Freedom's Pre-Orders Begin: Prices and Features Unveiled

Recently, Jetour Auto, sub-brand under Chery, announced the official pre-orders of its new member Freedom. Jetour Freedom is an entry-level hard-core off-road SUV, firstly made its global debut on 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show last November.

Trims and Prices

The Jetour offers four trims with prices ranging from RMB 129,900 to 159,900 ($17,800 to $22,000).

Exterior Design

The Jetour Freedom is actually the petrol version of the EREV Jetour Shanhai T1, with a dimension of 4706mm (L) ×1967mm (W) ×1845mm (H), and a wheelbase of 2810mm long. The Freedom features a unique attractive box design, sketching an unbridled off-road temperament.

Inside the cabin, the Freedom is the combination of a high-strong body and hi-tech intelligent cockpit.

Powertrain

As a hard-core off-road model, the Freedom offers two options, 1.5T and 2.0T, with a maximum power output of 135kW and a peak torque of 290N·m, paired with a 7DCT transmission; and a maximum power of 187kW and a peak torque of 390N·m, matched with an 8AT transmission, respectively.

The freedom also features Jetour's XWD automatic intelligent four-wheel drive system on its 4WD version, showcasing its powerful off-road performance. The 4WD version applies BorgWarner's latest 4th-gen four-wheel drive technology, which will respond in 0.1s, 20% faster than mainstream real-time four-wheel drive. Meanwhile, the car provides 7+X mode one-click off-road function, making off-road driving simpler and more convenient.
