5989 Firm Orders in 24 Hours of Release

Recently, Great Wall Motors' high-end off-road SUV brand, the Tank brand officially started the pre-sale of the new Tank 500 Hi4-Z, with a price of 379,800 yuan (approximately USD52,300). According to the official, the Tank 500 Hi4-Z received 5989 firm orders within 24 hours after its release, showcasing a strong market demand.

Vehicle Design and Dimensions

The Tank 500 Hi4-Z is positioned as a mid-to-large luxury off-road SUV, designed for both urban commuting, as well as outdoor activities. The Tank 500 Hi4-Z offers a spacious interior space:

The Tank 500 Hi4-Z features the all-new Hi4-Z super off-road platform with a decoupled four-wheel-drive structure. Compared to the Hi4-T, the Hi4-Z has an additional P4 motor on the rear axle, boosting a stronger powertrain of 645 kW and a torque of 1195 N•m. The 0-100 km/h acceleration rate is 4.6 seconds, fast enough for an off-road SUV.

With high-safety, high-volume-density power batteries, the SUV will offer an a WLTC pure electric range exceeding 200 km.

The Tank brand, a high-end SUV brand under Great Wall Motors, specializes in tough off-road SUVs. On this years Beijing Motor Show in May, the brand announced that its global cumulative sales surpassed 400,000 units, capturing 50% of the Chinese off-road vehicle market share.
