Xiaomi Automobile ramps up its overseas expansion efforts, establishing a new team to test and prepare for international vehicle sales. The SU7 model will be sold via Xiaomi Home stores.

According to Chinese media outlet 36Kr, information from various sources indicates that Xiaomi Auto is establishing vehicle exports business.
Insiders told the media that Xiaomi Group is forming a new team for auto exports business under International Division, and is recruiting key positions, such as market research analysts, project managers, and electric vehicle after-sales engineers. Besides, Xiaomi car business is recruiting positions targeting the international market for the autonomous driving department.
The global expansion initiate will be taken by small-scale vehicle sales across multiple overseas regions at the beginning, preparing for the large-scale rollout.
It is also reported that Xiaomi cars will be sold in existing Xiaomi Home stores overseas.
As a high-end sedan pricing above 200,000 yuan in China, the Xiaomi SU7 will have a price increase by additional tariffs and transportation costs. As we know that, there are several Chinese high-end NEV startups having expanded the global market, including NIO, Xpeng, and Zeekr.
