January Sales Results Out: XPENG Posts a 268% Year-on-Year Increase
During the Chinese New Year holiday, several Chinese carmakers have released their January sales reports. Among them, BYD sold a total of 300,538 new vehicles, including 296,446 passenger cars, a year-on-year increase of 47.5%. To date, BYD's cumulative sales of new energy vehicles have exceeded 10.9 million units. Chery Group sold a total of 224,323 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%, with the group's new energy vehicle sales reaching 56,901 units, a year-on-year increase of 172.1%. XPENG delivered 30,350 new vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 268%. Xiaomi's SU7 deliveries once again exceeded 20,000 units. HIMA delivered a total of 34,987 new vehicles, including 12,500 units of the AITO M9 series, 8,443 units of the AITO New M7 series; 11,400 units of the Luxeed R7 series; and 643 units of the Stelato S9. Li Auto delivered 29,927 vehicles. NIO delivered 13,900 new vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 37.9%, with the NIO brand delivering 7,951 new vehicles and the ONVO brand delivering 5,912 new vehicles. Leapmotor delivered 25,170 units, a year-on-year increase of 105%.
XPENG Officially Enters the Irish and Finnish Markets
XPENG recently held launch events in both Dublin and Helsinki, with the ultra-smart luxury electric SUV XPENG G9 making its debut in Finland, and the ultra-smart coupe SUV XPENG G6, another model under its brand, unveiled simultaneously in Finland and Ireland. It is understood that since its first appearance in Norway in 2021, XPENG has now entered more than ten European countries, including Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Iceland, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
